Ljubljana
Wer mit dem Flugzeug anreist, landet in der Regel in Sloweniens Hauptstadt Ljubljana. Die Stadt ist mit ca. 290’000 Einwohnern auch die grösste des Landes. Es gibt vieles zu entdecken in dieser wirklich sehr schönen Stadt, dank ihrer Grösse kann sie wunderbar zu Fuss erkundet werden.
Those arriving by plane usually land in Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana. With about 290,000 inhabitants, the city is also the largest in the country. There is a lot to discover in this really beautiful city, thanks to its size it can be explored superbly on foot.

Allen Gourment Freunden kann ich einen Besuch bei JB wärmstens empfehlen. Lasst euch von jedem Gang aufs neue überraschen.
I highly recommend a visit to JB for all gourmand friends. Let yourself be surprised by each course.
Für den kleinen Hunger zwischendurch, kann ich jedem ein leckeres Eis bei Vigò empfehlen.
For the small hunger in between, I can recommend a delicious ice cream at Vigò.
What to Do?
Ob die Stadt zu erkundigen, einen Besuch auf dem Markt oder eine kleine Wanderung zur Burg von Ljubljana, die Stadt bietet viele Möglichkeiten die ganz leicht zu Fuss erreichbar sind.
Whether it’s exploring the city, visiting the market or a short hike to Ljubljana Castle, the city offers many options that are in walking distance.
Bled
Nur 40 Autominuten nördlich von Ljubljana liegt die Stadt Bled. Eine Stadt umgeben von atemberaubender Natur.
Only 40 minutes by car to the north of Ljubljana lies the town of Bled. A town surrounded by breathtaking nature.
Where to Stay?
Leicht ausserhalb von Bled liegt das erst seit Sommer 2021 eröffneten Elegans Hotel Brdo. Das grosszügige Frühstücksbuffet und die moderne und Luxuriösen Zimmer haben mich besonders überzeugt.
The Elegans Hotel Brdo, which opened in summer 2021, is located just outside Bled. I was particularly impressed by the generous breakfast buffet and the modern and luxurious rooms.

Where to Eat?
Das Restaurant Vila Podvin bietet excelente Gourment Menüs und ist auf alle Fälle einen Besuch wert.

What to Do?
Auch Bled bietet zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten. Als besonders empfehlenswert erachte ich einen Besuch bei der Burg Bled. Von dort oben hat man auch einen wunderbaren Blick auf den Bled See mit seiner Insel.
Bled also offers numerous sights. I particularly recommend a visit to Bled Castle. From up there you also have a wonderful view of Lake Bled with its island.
Portorož
Auf der südlichen Seite Sloweniens erstreckt sich die 46 Kilometer lange Küste, wo sich auch die Küstenstadt Portorož befindet.
On the southern side of Slovenia stretches 46 kilometres of coastline, where the coastal town of Portorož is located.
Where to Stay?
Entlang der Küste befinden sich zahlreiche Hotels. Empfehlenswert ist sicherlich das Hotel Slovenija.
There are numerous hotels along the coast. The Hotel Slovenija is certainly recommendable.
Where to Eat?
Ein besonderes Erlebnis ist das Abendessen bei COB (Cooking Outside the Box) wo Erlebnisküche auf Gourment Küche trifft.
A special experience is a dinner at COB (Cooking Outside the Box) where experience cuisine meets gourmet cuisine.
What to Do?
Die Küstenstadt Portorož hat viel zu bieten. Zum Beispiel einen gemütlichen Tag am Strand, einen Besuch in der Therme (welche für Gäste des Hotel Slovenija kostenlos ist) oder einen Besuch bei der Fonda Fischfarm.
The coastal town of Portorož has a lot to offer. For example, a leisurely day at the beach, a visit to the thermal spa (which is free for guests of Hotel Slovenija) or a visit to the Fonda fish farm.
